John Cammarano is a highly experienced law enforcement professional with a passion for serving his community. With a career spanning several decades, John has held various positions in different organizations, showcasing his dedication and expertise in the field. Currently a certified Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training board instructor, he is qualified to instruct statewide law enforcement agencies, and he is currently instructing at the Pima Community College Law Enforcement Program. John also is currently an Arizona licensed officer of the Pima County Courts. John is well versed in instructing and training individuals in law enforcement practices.

Throughout his career John has served in multiple capacities, including positions with the Tucson Police Department, Pima County Sheriff’s Department, Marana Police Department, and Pima County Corrections. His career has given him a well-rounded understanding of the law enforcement landscape.

John’s extensive training and skill set includes defensive tactics, firearms, less lethal and chemical weapons, driving instructor (including 4-wheel drive), and physical fitness training. He has also received specialized training in the areas such as, high risk stop, active shooter situations, building clearings, explosive recognition, and bomb search techniques. Furthermore, John was a Senior Operator as well as a Swat Medic on the Tucson Police Department SWAT Team and carried out several hundred SWAT operations.

Not only has John excelled in his professional career, but he is also a proud husband and father of four. He has instilled a sense of civic duties in his children, and he has actively coached them in various sports and physical activities.

With numerous accolades including medals of valor and outstanding instructor awards, John Cammarano is a highly respected individual in the field of law enforcement. His passion for serving his community, combined with his extensive experience and skills, make him a perfect candidate for the position of Pima County Constable of Justice Precinct 10.

During a three-decade career that spanned law enforcement and corrections, John protected our community, often in high-risk assignments as a Tucson Police motorcycle officer and SWAT team member. John also took on additional duties, instructing his fellow officers on crucial skills such as firearms, defensive tactics, and high-risk stops. His many awards, including the Medal of Valor, demonstrate his dedication to those he served. Even today, John continues to use his extensive law enforcement knowledge as a teacher for the Pima Community College Law Enforcement Academy.
